When did you start Bodybuilding & how did you get started?

I started on Jan 1st 2013 training 6 days a week. At first it was just to train and see changes, then I told myself id do a show one day (Not actually believing I would).

Bodybuilding can change everything about you; your confidence, happiness, and way of life. It’s not just a sport, it’s a lifestyle. There’s nothing more euphoric than seeing your body become a closer to your ideal masterpiece It gave my life meaning. Bodybuilding gives me confidence. I wasn’t good at team sports, but bodybuilding was all about me and my effort.

Describe your training program

Since day one I have done the same split, people preach many different ‘programmes’ and routines, I just kept it basic.

6.rest/ or train back

This has worked perfect for me. I preach high volume, and most important a very good mind muscle connection. I believe I am very in contact with my body and muscles. If I don’t feel an exercise how id like to, I won’t do it. Weight does not matter to me, I’d rather have a crazy pump and feel the contractions.

Describe your diet and supplementation

My diet has, and is still, constantly changing. I discover new foods, and learn more as I go on about my body. I’d still like to preach my approach to a standard diet as being very old school. Breads, eggs, and meats are the bulk of my foods (Off season). During my contest season I am fortunate enough to have a good friend prep me into competition.

What are your goals for the future?

My genuine goal is still being figured out, I’d like to say it was to make bodybuilding great again (Its awesome now). What I mean is, bring back the look that has average people wanting to train and get in to weight lifting. I love competing, and have done well at it so far, but I believe my goal is far greater than to win shows, but to inspire millions into getting in to the gym.

Although I’d love it to get some sort of old school look back on to the stage! In my opinion, proportions and lines will always beat mass. Always.

I think if one thing has attributed to my success it’s that you must understand your body, in the gym, in the kitchen, and in life. Building muscle does not come from punishing your body, but from training to failure with tension and contraction as a priority, as well as eating and resting, if any of those three are neglected you will struggle.
